Business and Enterprise

Good afternoon all!

The Year 7 and 8 students of Hornby High are having a great time at the moment!  They are extremely busy forming companies, creating products and business plans, and preparing for the Market Day in the last week of this term.

There are some fabulous ideas coming from the students around the products, packaging, marketing and advertising.  Feel free to come down and support the students.  More details will follow soon.  In the meantime, here is a video from last years Market Day.

7AL Learning Hui

Good morning,

This morning the students of 7AL presented some of their learning at the Year 7/8 hui.  We had some technical difficulties around sound for the national anthem and other songs we wanted to sing, however, I am immensely proud of the class for all the hard work they have put in.  The resilience and committment shown by all the students was admirable. Those who performed on the stage and presented items worked hard to speak clearly.  The behind the scenes crew who took care of all of the technical aspects of the presentation have never been so focused.

Well done 7AL!!!  You should be extremely proud!!  I certainly am!!

Hello everyone. 7AL have been working in groups. We having been researching about the crest and national anthem and the flag. We have had lots of fun putting these together. We have been finding out information that most of us didn’t know. Here is two groups presentations that have done really well.

Year 7 Sailing

One very hot Friday we(Year 7&8) went on a school trip to go sailing, It was the perfect day.

We started off getting into togs then made the boats. Then we got told rules and how to put the
boat together. Then the fun was released, we got into the boats and off we went. IT WAS FUN!
